I am a British-Afghan charity leader, entrepreneur, community advocate, and political commentator shaped by a journey that began as a refugee seeking safety and opportunity in the UK.
I'm the Head of Funding and Partnerships at the Afghanistan and Central Asian Association, Strategic Advisor to the Global Healthcare Leadership Forum, recipient of Diana Award for social action, and Founder of BollyGroove Events and Productions, Afghanistan Government in Exile, Afghan Student Alliance, Central Asian Students Association, UK-Afghanistan Business Council, UK-Uzbekistan Business Council, and Suzani Capital.

My Story
I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and came to the UK as a six-month old after my family fled Afghanistan to escape Taliban persecution. After a perilous nine-month journey spanning more than 3,000 miles across multiple countries, we finally found refuge here in the UK. I grew up in London shaped by that journey — by the fear we left behind, but also by the kindness and opportunity we found in our new home. From a young age, I saw my family give back, supporting other refugees and migrants and building stronger communities, and that stayed with me.
My path has always been about service, helping families rebuild their lives, securing support for those in need, and standing up for people whose voices are too often unheard. But I’ve also seen the gaps: hardworking residents struggling to be listened to, communities feeling overlooked, and decisions made without local people at the heart of them.
That’s why I’m stepping into politics — to work for local people, to listen, represent, and deliver real change.
Heston West is my community, and I want to be a strong, active voice for everyone who calls it home.

Everyone deserves the chance to get on in life, see their hard work properly rewarded and realise their hopes for the future. Businesses and entrepreneurs should be supported to create worthwhile jobs in every part of the UK.
A Truly Fair Democracy
Liberal Democrats believe that basic rights and dignity are the birthright of every individual, to be respected, cherished and enhanced. Everyone should have equal power in our democracy, and be able to hold all Members of Parliament properly to account.
A Fair Deal on the Environment
Everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of our wonderful natural environment, and our children should inherit the future they deserve. We must act now – locally, nationally and globally.
